When 'open' it is straghtforward to connect and screw on to the receiving radiator valve. I recently had Hive installed, found the radiators are all M28 not M30 (standard Hive TRV connection) and ordered the free adaptors from Hive. I don't know what make/model the TRV is that it pairs with, no name on it.

I hoped this would do the trick and it's metal rather than plastic as well, but I can't even get it to reach the threads on the ratiator valve. I thought I was going to have to buy new TRVs just to fit the heads but these worked brilliantly and stepped up the 28mm thread to the newer 30mm thread that the Hive TRV head needs to sit on.

Was annoyed I needed to buy an adapter for my Bosch thermostat but this was one of the cheapest I found. If I can find an adapter that works it would at least allow me to use the Hive TRV's I bought. Any idea if there is another adaptor that might work, as we have been quoted £600 to replace 4 radiator valves and drain the system to do it!

These were perfect for fitting my Hive thermostats onto an older trv body. select a temporary high (comfort) target temperature relative to the surrounding temperature, so that it moves to the 'open' position). Fit perfectly and my Bosch device is all set up e.
