I love how each of these stories follows on from each other but are all in themselves a fun and separate story to read. The illustrations themselves making the story perfect, especially in the first story and afterwards towards the end. The book cover itself is matt in appearance and this particular book has more pages than the previous Jon Klassen books I've read. I think because this features five stories in one, it not only makes it good value to buy but it's made me love the characters more as we spend more time with them than the characters of Klassen's other book series.

While the first is about the rock falling from the sky, the other stories feature different situations including a problem Turtle has with turning over after getting stuck upside down, the charaters dreaming about the world i nthe future and a very funny situation featuring a sunset which I have to say is probably my favourite of all five tales. (And so does my cat apparently 😂)This book is especially wonderful because it feels like 5 books in one! There are some really funny moments, I especially love it when Turtle gets constantly annoyed at, and generally becomes annoying to the others although he's ultimately a very funny character.

It's no surprise and soon becomes apparent that one of the spots will have a rock appear above it from the sky and the subsequent stories feature Turtle, Armadillo and another character, Snake, as they all have some different adventures with the rock from the sky. I just love the expressions that the characters always have, those eyes make for perfect comedic moments and timings and I also love the fact that all three characters have hats which is a great nod to Klassen's Hat series of books!

This is such a brillliant and funny set of stories! All five stories, including the last one which ends in a brilliant but unexpected way are very funny and I couldn't help but want to look back at this book again and again, for both the story and the illustrations. -Thanks to Walker Books for a free copy for review.

This really is a great book and one I'd recommend. The "timing" of Klasson's dry humor adds a tension and anticipation to his stories that make them unique and fun to read over and over again. Turtle likes to stand in one spot, it's his favourite place to be, but when Armadillo comes along he doesn't have a good feeling about where Turtle is standing and he thinks he should go stand somewhere else.
